Vlog—Reality Check: Privileges & Problems of My Perspective

The Distress of the Privileged

I felt it important to talk about my perspective. There may of course be more problems and advantages than those of which I’m aware. Also: with less than three weeks before I leave for ROOTS Week, and afterward nine days till my SSDI hearing, I’m going to be posting a lot of videos and blog posts I’ve had in the works for a while.

The future is uncertain and I still have so much to say. I can’t shake the feeling that I’m running out of time. I can’t logic myself out of a position I didn’t logic myself into, and no one knows what the future holds for me come August 23rd. Nor how I’m going to handle the intervening time.

I hate getting unsolicited advice and am so loath to give it, but I feel in this case anything I post can be taken or left with no muss or fuss, just as I do with books and articles I read. If there was one piece of universal advice I’d give when asked, it would be: “Don’t let anyone silence you.”
